Tip of the Moment

In Windows XP/Vista/7 click to open the 'Start' menu and in the box at the bottom type 'MSCONFIG' and press the [ENTER] key. On the screen that comes up select the 'Boot' tab (2nd from the left) and then check the box next to the words 'No GUI Boot'.  Click 'Apply' and then press 'Okay'. You have just shaved five to ten seconds off of your boot times, have a great day!

The Roku box (the popular box you can purchase to stream Netflix, Hulu Plus and many other things) at times has experienced wireless issues.  I have looked all over the Internet and found no one else that has solved this problem...until now!  Yes, we have the answer, keep reading...

The issue is that your wireless stops working from your Roku box.  Perhaps you turned your network off then on and the issue happened or maybe a patch update.  Whatever the case is here is how you fix it.  It is simple really, you go turn on your Roku box and press the 'Home' key to make sure you are at home.  Then you go to 'Settings > Network > Repeat Guided Setup > Wired'.  From here you plug in your Roku box via hard line and then make sure all is updated.  Now hit the 'Reset' button on the bottom of the box to reboot the box, sometimes it takes a bit of holding it and then a bit of waiting for this to happen.  The final piece of the puzzle is to once again go to 'Settings > Network > Repeat Guided Setup' and this time choose 'Wireless' and then go to the screen where your wireless internet connection is supposed to show up but doesn't.  It most likely will still not be there, now press the 'Select' button on your remote and if your remote is like mine it is probably rubbed off so you can't read the words so the select button is the circle button in the middle of the arrows.  You should hear the familiar sound you get when clicking buttons in your Roku box.  Press it again and you should not hear the sound.  Now the Roku box is going to reboot again.  This time when it boots up go to your 'Repeat Guided Setup' again, enter your wireless connection that will now show up and get connected.  If you still have questions use our contact page and we will help!
